DoD selects SAIC to manage IT for deployed troops
The Department of Defense (DoD) has contracted Science Application International (SAIC) for a $38 million task order to support the Theater Medical Information Program-Joint (TMIP-J) for U.S. military forces deployed overseas.

TMIP-J provides medical information management technology for the medical business practices in a deployed environment. Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force personnel in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan currently use TMIP-J.

The task order has a one-year base performance period and three one-year options. The task order was awarded under the Defense Medical Information Systems/Systems Integration, Design Development, Operations and Maintenance Service contract.
Under the order, the San Diego-based SAIC said it will manage, control and track developer integration activities.
