Eclipsys Corp. has announced that the DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale, a newly opened completely digital hospital in Georgia, is using Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager and Knowledge-Based Charting advanced clinical information systems for its move to eliminate paper and integrate care. The 100-bed medical center, located in a southeast suburb of metro Atlanta, is part of the growing DeKalb Medical Center hospital system.

The hospital system has been using Sunrise Clinical Manager for more than a year at its 481-bed main campus and its 76-bed DeKalb Medical Center at Decatur facility.

"The Eclipsys solutions play an extremely important role in helping us achieve our strategic objectives," said Eric Norwood, DeKalb Medical Center president and chief executive officer. "They are the foundation of our electronic medical record (EMR) initiative, which is one of our top strategic priorities."
