Illinois provider expands Centricity investment
SIU HealthCare of Barrington, Ill., has selected GE Healthcare’s Centricity Business for its financial performance and have interoperability capabilities with its GE Centricity EMR.

SIU HealthCare, affiliated with the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, is a nonprofit network of five affiliated hospitals, seven departments and 43 clinics with more than 1500 employees serving rural Illinois. A Centricity EMR customer, with specialties ranging from cancer care to primary care, as well as surgical, medical, pediatric and OB/GYN services, the practice plans to deploy Centricity Business to support revenue cycle management -- from pre-visit patient eligibility verification and co-pay collection, to claims management.
