N.J. medical center implements Medsphere EHR
New Jersey's 328-bed Hoboken University Medical Center (UMC) will implement Medsphere System's OpenVista EHR.
Under the terms of the contract, the Carlsbad, Calif.-based company said the implementation of OpenVista at Hoboken UMC will provide practitioners with access to clinical IT support: computerized provider order entry functionality, an inpatient barcode medication administration system, a closed-loop medication management system and clinical alerts.
Hoboken UMC plans to fully implement OpenVista by summer 2010.
