Pennsylvania imaging students selected to ASRT leadership program

Two students from Misericordia University in northeast Pennsylvania have been selected to represent the state at the 2018 American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Student Leadership Development Program in Las Vegas.

The Pennsylvania Society of Radiologic Technologists (PSRT) selected medical imaging majors, Naejana Carredo and Megan Mary Meckling from the up to 100 students (two per state) chosen for program, according to a Misericordia news brief. The pair will participate in the ASRT Education Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates meeting June 21 to 24.

"The growing love I have for this field makes me want to advocate for the need of safe radiography practice and patient care back to my home country in Southeast Asia, and God-willing to other third world countries,'' said Carredo in the brief.
