Perot Systems Corp. has inked a seven year, $390 million contract with Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC) and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH) to manage system-wide information technology functions, including applications, project management, infrastructure and data center operations.
Under the contract with SHC, Perot said it will support its technology transformation program, while simultaneously enhancing and supporting SHC's current legacy systems. LPCH awarded a similar contract to Perot that includes infrastructure and data center support while retaining IT planning and application system support internally.
SHC is a non-profit, 611-bed academic medical center located in Northern California. LPCH at Stanford is a 256-bed hospital devoted to the care of children and expectant mothers.
