Richardson Electronics gets VA nod for imaging workstation
The healthcare division of Richardson Electronics has received approval from the U.S. Veteran’s Administration (VA) Healthcare System for its new diagnostic imaging workstation platform.

The DICOM-compatible platform, which can be equipped with either Planar or Image Systems 3-megapixel grayscale displays, features a display controller card and a high performance Hewlett Packard XW9400 workstation, according to the LaFox, Ill.-based Richardson.

The VA approved the workstation configurations for use with VistARad Patch 65 systems currently being installed throughout the entire VA system.
