Siemens lands $100 million Soarian contract with Catholic Health System
Catholic Health System (CHS) in New York and Siemens Medical Solutions have inked a 10-year, $100 million strategic alliance that features the latest in diagnostic imaging and healthcare information technology (IT) systems, marking the first time CHS has ever entered into such a long-term agreement with a vendor.

Siemens said the contract includes Soarian, Siemens new generation healthcare information system that integrates clinical, financial, diagnostic and administrative processes. Beyond Soarian, CHS facilities will have access to medical imaging technologies from Siemens, including MR, CT, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, angiography, catheterization laboratory and digital radiography systems.

CHS provides healthcare services to Western New Yorkers across a network of five hospitals, 10 primary care centers, nine diagnostic and treatment centers, a free- standing surgery center, 11 long-term care facilities, adult homes, home care agencies, counseling services, and social service and behavioral health programs.
