WholeSecurity protecting endpoint computers in two facilities
WholeSecurity, a provider of behavioral on-demand endpoint security solutions, announced that Novant Health and Wake Radiology have selected WholeSecurity Confidence Online to protect thousands of endpoint PCs.  These nationally recognized healthcare organizations rely on Confidence Online to safeguard endpoint computers against malicious threats, such as worms, Trojan horses, and other forms of spyware that can enable eavesdropping and information theft.

Healthcare organizations have been adopting remote access technologies, including SSL, VPNs and other on-demand infrastructure solutions, to provide anytime, anywhere access to information for physicians, other hospital employees, and partner organizations.  However, ensuring a high level of security in these environments can offer challenges since SSL VPNs allow users to access the network using any computer.  As a result, PCs logging into the network may or may not be properly secured.

Since patient records are highly confidential and sensitive and other classified information stored on healthcare networks requires careful management, it is critical to ensure that any PC accessing data, whether on the LAN or connecting via an SSL or VPN, is free of malicious code that could enable a criminal to steal files, gain access to passwords, or eavesdrop on a computing session.  With Confidence Online, healthcare organizations can safeguard all PCs on the network, including those that they do not own or manage, from malicious spyware and worms.
