Philips Healthcare (Booth 7713) is introducing a new mammography workstation, discussing the mammography reading capabilities in its iSite PACS product, and the commercial release of the Elite Clinical Solution for breast MRI.

Philips newest iSite PACS release features enhanced mammography reading capabilities, through a specialized set of tools designed for screening and reading of mammography exams.

Philips is introducing the new MammoDiagnost VU mammography workstation as a works in progress at this year’s RSNA. A unique feature of this workstation is the ability to automatically align the left and right breast images based on tissue images. The MammoDiagnost VU is pending FDA 510(k) approval and is not yet available in the U.S., according to Philips.

First showcased at RSNA 2007, Philips is announcing the commercial release of the Elite Clinical Solution for MR-based breast imaging. It includes the MammoTrak dockable patient support, diagnostic and biopsy coils, and the DynaCAD Enterprise Solution, which allows biopsy planning performed on the MR console.

The Elite Breast solution provides a comprehensive set of throughput enablers. SmartExam Breast for reproducible, excellent image quality and access to in-depth trainings courses by industry experts, while Elite Breast is available as an option with Philips 1.5T, 3.0T and new 3.0T TX systems as well as for existing Achieva and Intera customers.
