Fujifilm announces new PACS version
Yesterday at the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) Annual Meeting and Exhibition, Fujifilm Medical Systems USA Inc. announced the availability of Synapse version 3.2, its latest PACS software release. With a number of enhancements to existing mammography capabilities, as well as improvements to Fujifilm’s patent-pending reading protocol technology, Synapse 3.2 is equipped to address the rapid adoption of digital mammography by providing advanced capabilities for the soft copy interpretation of mammography and other breast imaging studies.

Synapse version 3.2 features enhanced visualization and image processing tools such as integrating CAD into both the technologist and radiologist workflow, enabling the display of CAD markers and providing support for MQSA compliant overlays.

“With the rate of adoption of full field digital mammography systems at an all time high, it’s more important than ever to provide facilities with a PACS that has the most advanced capabilities to meet the unique workflow and interpretation needs of breast imaging,” said Bob Cooke, Fujifilm’s vice president of Network Business Management.  “When you combine the power and innovation of Fujifilm’s Synapse PACS with the quality and flexibility of our FCRm FFDM systems, Fujifilm is best prepared to deliver a unique, end-to-end digital solution for any breast imaging facility, large or small.”
