Survey: Readers view EHRs as improving care, dropping costs

Half of respondents to last week’s reader survey view electronic health records (EHRs) as both improving patient care and reducing costs. Of those who believe the systems do one of those two things better than the other, more feel EHRs are better at improving care. About 11 percent of respondents don’t feel that EHRs provide either of those benefits.
