ImageMoverMD app makes it easy to transfer medical images

ImageMoverMD, a Middleton, Wisconsin-based imaging software company, is making it easier to transfer medical images all in the palm of your hand.

Richard Bruce shares his experiences with WKOW about his time working as a radiologist at UW Health. He remembers seeing tons of CDs being made to transfer patients’ medical images. Each CD cost around $10 or $15 a piece, and UW imported about 8,000 each month.

Stepping up to the plate, Bruce and his colleague Gary Wendt created the ImageMoverMD app that uses a QR code to transfer images to a patient’s chart in the Epic system. This gives the patients access to their imaging through MyChart, saving time and providing easy access to their records.
