A study published in the January issue of the Journal of Nuclear Medicine reveals that nearly half of Medicare patients with NSCLC in the United States do not complete recommended FDG PET/CT scans prior to treatment.

While there are numerous formulas to help guide providers in managing incidental findings, there is limited data available on the outcomes and cost-effectiveness of the subsequent evaluations that follow.

HB 575 would remove financial barriers for women who are recommended to undergo supplemental breast imaging, such as an MRI, CT or ultrasound, when the exams are deemed medically necessary.
